About Advocates Africa

A continental network committed to justice, faith and professional service.

Advocates Africa is a network of Christian lawyers’ associations, bringing together Christian lawyers, judges and law students across Africa. Formed in 1998 during an Advocates International Global Convocation in the United States, the network now has members and partners in more than 42 African countries. It is the African regional network affiliated with Advocates International. Advocates Africa works with governments, intergovernmental bodies, civil-society organisations, non-governmental organisations and the public to promote human rights and justice across the continent. Its approach is servant-hearted and dialogue-led—seeking reconciliation and constructive engagement rather than accusation.
